Meet Dr. Michael Marchetti

As the newest member of the OrthoConnecticut Coastal Orthopedics team Dr. Michael Marchetti specializes in non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. His compassionate, personalized approach helps patients of all ages from student athletes to weekend warriors return to the activities they love, safely and efficiently.
Dr. Marchetti completed his fellowship at the University of South Carolina, where he cared for Division I athletes including the National Champion Gamecocks Women’s Basketball Team, South Carolina State University, the Columbia City Ballet, and professional baseball players from the Columbia Fireflies. Today, he brings that same elite-level experience to his patients in Fairfield County.
With certifications in diagnostic ultrasound, orthobiologics, and concussion management, Dr. Marchetti blends cutting-edge techniques with comprehensive care prioritizing non-invasive options to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. As the former assistant team physician at Quinnipiac University, Dr. Marchetti is passionate about concussion care and injury prevention.

A Connecticut native, Dr. Marchetti is deeply rooted in his community. He resides locally with his wife and three active children, all of whom compete in sports, so he understands the physical and emotional toll injuries can take on an active lifestyle.
He earned his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in NYC and completed his family medicine residency at Eastern Connecticut Health Network. He then went on to complete his fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Marchetti is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Society of Sports Medicine, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Outside the office, Dr. Marchetti enjoys spending time on the sidelines cheering on his kids and advocating for youth injury prevention.
